NURU association was founded by EDU RIZIKI in 2014 Edu Riziki was born and raised in Democratic Republic of the Congo, central Africa ,she had limited opportunities for education and became a teen mom at the age of 15 . From early childhood , she understood first-hand ,what it meant to live in poverty, go hungry and be unable to go to school. She recognized early on that without a good education her options would be limited. Her very first task was to help orphaned children who lost their parents through the armed conflict and disasters in Democratic Republic of the Congo. By Congolese standar ,Edu Riziki is a low income family. Even so she financed herself most of the NURU Association fundraising efforts. She is on a mission to give back to her community and become the help she wished she had when she was younger. She wants to ensure that children are not on the street working for meals instead of attending school and putting their lives at risk of being raped. The women in the community , including widows, single mothers, and young girls have been a focus of NURU. Edu Riziki’s passion is to educate orphans, children ,and youth ,and women to empower them, bring them to literacy and agriculture because it is arguably the most important sector for Africa as a creator of employment opportunities, contribution to export revenues and to food security. The transformation of food systems has the potential to also improve food security, increase employment opportunities and reduce the sector’s impact on climate change and biodiversity loss. Africa has immense biodiversity and natural ecosystems which provide countless services to the country
